Our philosophy is that health is more than just the absence of disease or sickness. Our physicians and wellness center staff believe a person’s health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being.
As a primary care medical practice, health and wellness are at the core of everything we do. We work closely with adults and children of all ages to provide the best family health services in the region. We’re always available when you need us - even after hours, a live physician is available by phone.
And because we’re committed to helping you understand your health, after your visit, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive and detailed visit summary that includes your medical history, medications, recent vitals, referrals, and information about your follow-up appointment. We’ll even add it to the patient portal for your convenience.
Annual Check Ups
Seeing a primary health physician regularly helps you stay on top of your health.An annual check up is one of the best things you can do for yourself because it allows you to stay ahead of problems before they arise. During your yearly examination, we’ll perform a complete physical examination and take care of any preventative treatments. That may include vaccinations, labs, mammograms, paps smears, colonoscopies or any other procedure designed to help you detect potential problems early and stay on top of your health.
Referral to Specialists & Coordination of Care
If you need a specialist referral, we can help.As your primary care physician, it’s our job to determine when you need to be referred to someone who specializes in an area of care. In this case, our referral team will help find a medical professional who takes your insurance. Once you’ve been referred, we’ll get your report from the specialist and help you understand and coordinate next steps in your plan of care. We like to stay in the loop because it helps us ensure our patients are getting the best care, no matter who is helping them.
Motor Vehicle Accident Evaluation
When you’re hurt, our doctors are here.At Healthway, we’re skilled and experienced in working with patients following a motor vehicle accident. This allows us to thoroughly evaluate injuries and provide a plan of care. Please remember - all serious concerns immediately following an accident should be handled by the ER.
Sick Visits
When you’re feeling sick, getting you well is our physicians’ priority.That’s why we’ll always do our best to get your an appointment with our Doctor or Nurse Practitioner the same day. No matter if your problems are straightforward (like a UTI, bronchitis, sinus and allergy issues or an itchy rash) or more serious or life-threatening (like worsening congestive heart failure, out of control blood pressure or diabetes), we’ll help you get the treatment you need and on your way to feeling better.
Substance Abuse Rehabilitation
We’ll help you find wellness through substance abuse struggle.Because we believe in a holistic approach to well-being, we love helping patients successfully transition from an in-patient detox and rehab facility to everyday life. Our special services include addressing chronic medical needs for patients after rehab, as well as working closely with The Commitment House and other area rehab facilities to ensure our patients keep abstaining from drug use following an acute detox.
Adult Immunizations
Stay healthy with preventative care and vaccines.If you need a vaccine, chances are, we can help. We provide common vaccinations that are covered by most insurances, including flu, pneumonia, hepatitis and tetanus shots. If you need access to your vaccination records, they’re easily available through our patient portal.
Chronic Conditions (Evaluation & Management)
If you’re suffering from a chronic condition, you can rely on physicians that care as much as you do.From initial diagnosis to the monitoring and coordination of care for chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, COPD, thyroid problems, depression and more, we’re here to help at Healthway. We’ll prescribe and help you manage the right medications and help you bring balance back to your life. And if you’re a new patient with a history of a chronic condition, we’ll meet you where you are and continue to monitor your health. For patients suffering from multiple health problems, we have teams assigned who check in and monitor them to ensure that their medical needs are always taken care of. Because superior care is always our number one priority, we look forward to holding a patient-centered medical home certification in the very near future.
